Hull City 0 Chelsea 2: Willian and Costa get Conte back to winning ways

Willian and Diego Costa produced fine second-half finishes as Chelsea tasted victory for the first time in four Premier League outings with a 2-0 triumph at Hull City.

Antonio Conte s side performed fitfully in their 3-4-3 formation during the early stages and Thibaut Courtois was the busier of the two goalkeepers before the break.

Warnings from former Italy boss Conte that the 2014-15 champions could be set for another mid-table finish without improvement this season were cutting a little too close to the bone at that stage but his players showed their quality in a clinical display after half-time.

Costa was the provider as Willian netted with aplomb after the hour before the Spain international rifled in his sixth goal in seven league appearances this season.…

Molina leaves Getafe ahead of expected Granada move

Jorge Molina has left Getafe after a mutual agreement to terminate his contract and is expected to sign for Granada.

The 38-year-old played 163 times for the club, scoring 52 goals and providing 21 assists.

The striker has reportedly undergone a medical with Granada, who pipped Getafe to a Europa League spot last season.

We want to thank him for all his professionalism for this club, always showing his dedication in the defence of our colours, Getafe said in a statement.

Molina, Getafe s leading goalscorer this century, helped them to finish fifth in LaLiga in 2018-19, just two points outside the Champions League places.

He scored six goals in all competitions last term as they finished eighth in the top flight and reached the last 16 of the E…

Pogba agrees Juve return?

According to reports in Italy, Paul Pogba has agreed to return from Manchester United to Juventus this summer.

The Frenchman made the switch from the Allianz Stadium to Old Trafford back in 2016 for a fee of around €100 million world record at the time. United, led by Jose Mourinho, saw enough quality and leadership in Pogba to spark their return to elite, not just in England, but in Europe as well. However, it hasn t worked out that way. United have failed to compete for either the Premier League title or the Champions League in the three years that followed, and Pogba seems prepared to jump ship.

Juventus, on the other hand, having established complete domination in the Serie A, aim to win the Champions League and they re doing whatever they feel will get them there…

Distin: We deserve more credit

Everton defender Sylvain Distin insists his side are not over-achieving and deserve more credit for their continued success.

The Goodison Park side lie seventh in the Premier League, one place and a point above their city rivals Liverpool, and face a crunch FA Cup semi-final with Kenny Dalglish s side next weekend.

Distin feels his side are not punching above their weight this campaign.

I have never understood this over-performing tag, the Frenchman told The Sunday Express.

That must mean we are supposed to be rubbish. Punching above your weight to me means you are in a place you shouldn t be because you are not good enough.

You can punch above your weight maybe for one season, two seasons if you re lucky, but it seems Everton tend to do it ev…

Manchester United linked with Lukaku move

that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international, who only moved to Goodison Park on a permanent basis last summer, has averaged fourteen Premier League goals over the past three seasons across spells with both the Toffees and West Bromwich Albion and has made no secret of his desire to play in the Champions League.

The 22 year old originally moved to England in 2011 when Chelsea paid Anderlecht over £10m to secure his services, but he only racked up fifteen appearances in all competitions for the Blues.

Should he complete the switch to Old Trafford, he would link up with international teammate Marouane Fellaini, who left Everton on the same day that Lukaku arrived.

Having secured a fourth plac…
